Working Hard
Another summer has come and with it...more blistering hot days cramped in a small office with barely any air conditioning.

Deplorable.

A new company merger means twice as much paperwork and even more people to deal with. Joy. The building is already overcrowded as it is so it's anyones guess as to where the newcomers will be situated.

...It goes without saying if better office accommodations are being offered to these new co-workers rather than to someone who's served the company diligently year after year, that someone will find himself most extremely upset.

I find myself quite sick of all the snow and bitter cold.  It gets tiresome to have pick my way across poorly kept sidewalks and to brave the frigid air every time I wander down for a cigarette break.

Urahara, I find myself bored with the mountains of figures today.  Have you managed to pull yourself out of your depressive lump phase or should I seek elsewhere for some form of amusement?  At least if you're chattering my ear off it makes the time pass.

...And on an odd personal request, do you know when Tessai's planning on making some of his special curry again?  This cold weather gives me a taste for it I believe.

Well.  If last week wasn't an...interesting one, I don't know what else could possibly be constituted as such.

I'm going to say this once and once only to quell any further questions or speculation pertaining to the matter involving my son.

I do however have a thought for our security department...  Are you people even monitoring our parking lot?  My vehicle, which brought me here this morning in perfect condition, has had it's tires slashed.  And this isn't the first case of this happening!

Keeping this in mind I shall be out of the office for the remainder of the day though I will check my voicemail and e-mail as needed.

Rangiku-san, I do hope you had an enjoyable weekend and managed to stay warm?

Despite the complete and utter inconvenience of it, I cannot deny the blissful silence uninterrupted by the shrill ringing of the telephone is a very nice change of pace.

A downside to this is it makes it far more difficult for me to track those who have YET to turn in year end reports. If they are not turned into me by end of business TOMORROW, there shall be dire consequences. It is really not that difficult to turn these things in on time, the end of year comes like the sun rising each morning, a sure and unchanging thing. A little effort is all I'm asking here.

It is for circumstances such as these that I'm honestly glad I keep a couple changes of clothes here at the office because it would have been intolerable to sit here all day in soaked garments. I find it interesting that the ties are have disappeared though...

Kisuke, I do hope you're surviving? I haven't seen you since the poker game Friday and I must say, old friend, that you were looking quite rough....your little succubus wearing you down?

Rangiku-san, do let me know if you'd like to skip out for lunch one day this week?

I honestly do not know which is worse, the sweltering temperatures of this tiny office in the heat of the summer or the chill that never really seems to go away in the winter. At least the chill can be somewhat remedied with a small space heater (sadly the technology for small windowless air conditioners is decidedly lacking).

At least today there doesn't seem to be nearly as many nuisances wandering around poking around where they're obviously not wanted.  And as if there's not already enough going on, the insurance agent will hopefully be here before lunchtime to go over to the Research and Development building to go take a look at any damaged that occurred during the little wake-up call we received this morning.  Add in the pleasure of our surprise narcotic screening and it's just been a peachy sort of a week and we're only half way through.

Wonderful.

Rangiku-san, are we still on for this evening?

Working Hard
Yet another new year begins, everyone's back to work, though some of us never really stopped.

Tax season is rapidly approaching and I must urge everyone to please finalize all year-end reports and get them in to me by Friday, January 11th at 3pm at the absolute latest. And just for added clarification, Friday, January 11th at 3pm does NOT mean Monday the 14th, whenever you bloody well feel like it.

Any delays will cause your own personal tax information to be delayed, as always. That seems to be the best deterrent I've found over the years for slackers.

Kurosaki, so help me...if I find this damned singing snowman in my office one more time I swear by all that is holy that I will beat you bloody with the damned thing.  This is your final warning.

Rangiku-san, I do hope you had a pleasant vacation.

Time to relax
I would very much appreciate it if everyone would learn to mind their own business and keep their noses out of other people's affairs.  I'm rather tired of being included in all of the water cooler gossip as one would sincerely think for people to actually get to work would be entirely too much to ask for.

Work
...would someone kindly explain to me my calculator is missing and I have suddenly acquired a box of children's crayons?

The fact that an extra pack of a cigarettes that I leave in my top desk drawer has been replaced with a lollipop is only slightly more confusing if not far more irritating.

Kurosaki.  The fact that you seem to keep enough pictures of your family in this building to fill an entire drawer in my file cabinet is very disturbing.  Please come collect them.  Now.

If someone happens upon a Mitarashi proposal, I would be ever so grateful if it could be returned to my office.

These strange happenings are becoming increasingly bothersome and it makes me wonder if perhaps our security department has taken a permanent leave of absence as they are obviously not doing their job.

Where. Are. My. Files.

Corporate account information, budget projections, proposals...some of my most secure computer files have even been accessed.  It's not just the fact that someone has invaded my space and messed with my things, this is also a huge legal liability with all of the sensitive financial information that I have.

So help me if just one person asks if I'm sure I didn't just misplace these things I will not be held accountable for my actions.

I DEMAND an explanation for this.

And can someone please explain why we have not one but two elevators down?  We do not pay these companies to come out to service and inspect them only for them to break down like this.

There is almost a comforting sense of normalcy in place as Yamamoto-sama has returned and I for one, am glad for the increased workload to pass the day away.  Something that is a welcome change from yesterdays disastrous events I must admit.

Due to the carelessness of a certain person I found the majority of my afternoon squandered away at the optometrist's office.  I cannot understand why it was so bloody difficult it was to just have my prescription duplicated, instead the doctor kept insisting on a full exam.  Apparently some records had been mislabeled and I prevailed in the matter.  I do not believe there is anything more infuriating then an incompetent staff that can't even handle the most mundane of tasks.

Urahara.  Would it be too much to assume that you would have something to offer that may in some way boost an immune system or that would stave off the possibility of a cold?  After getting caught in the rain with yesterday's fiasco I fear I've been feeling a little under the weather.

Nothing like a surprise Open House to keep everyone on their toes, though some forewarning would have been considerate if not down right expected.  I understand there was an issue with our guests wandering around freely into personal office spaces and being a general nuisance.  Pity, I certainly didn't have this issue.  I wonder if it was the cramped office space that drove them off?

With this new contract just signed it's been a little hectic working out all of the particulars, where the money is to be spent, where it isn't.  At least the most prominent requests are reasonable ones.  The first and foremost is for a decent amount to be distributed to our Technical Support offices so that the recent failure does not happen again.  With the hacking of the website, the crashing of internal e-mailing system, that particular division definitely needs all the assistance it can get to ensure that none of us are inconvenienced with it's shortcomings.
